New Hall Project

We received “pre-app” feedback in July 2025 and are currently working to submit a full planning application in the autumn of 2026, with an ambition to start construction by 2030. We are working with MEB Design to complete Stage 3 Spatial Coordination including having a range of surveys carried out to ensure the plans are realistic and achievable.

All work completed to date has been funded by a generous bequest and a large donation from Clapham Parish Church congregation members. We are extremely grateful for these donations to enable this work. We need to raise funds for the construction of the New Hall and are seeking donations from individuals, businesses, charitable foundations and trusts. We will also be carrying out sponsored group and individual activities, and arranging events to generate income. All of our events will have the primary aim of carrying out the mission of the church - to: Show the love of Christ, that others may come to, know the love of Christ, and together to grow in the love of Christ.

There are a range of ways you can help:

We are trying to use local companies - to reduce our environmental impact, to support local business and to spread word of the project within the community. For each service required we seek quotes from 3 companies if possible and select the cheapest (unless there is a clear reason not to). When choosing an architect we interviewed 3 different candidates and made a selection based on who we felt could best develop our project brief, who we felt we could work with and who shared the values of our church.
