Ways to Support

Thank you for considering supporting our project. We are expecting the build to cost in the region of £1,800,000 – having visited some similar projects we are confident that this is achievable but to make our new hall a reality we need to raise funds to pay for the design and construction costs.

We do still need to maintain our normal donations to the running of the church – so please do not change any existing donations in favour of the New Hall project.

There are a range of ways you can support us below. We are extremely grateful for all gifts whatever the size.

Corporate
donations

Do you own a business, represent or work for a company looking to make a donation to a charity? If you are considering Corporate Social Responsibility and thinking about strategic giving we would love to hear from you.

Large Gifts

We will be applying for some grants from charitable trusts and foundations – if you are a trustee or represent a trust or a business we would be keen to discuss our project with you. We are incredibly grateful for gifts of any size, but consider anything over £1000 to be a large gift. We would love to discuss our plans in detail, our aims and objectives, mission, how you could make a difference to Clapham community and show you how your support could really help. In return we will give you bespoke regular communication and updates and agree suitable recognition for your gift. You may be elligible for tax relief when giving a large gift to charity.

Support from Employers

Does your employer support local charities? Some companies: •allow their staff to apply for grants to support charities close to their heart •match fundraising activity for a registered charity •give staff time off for charitable activity and volunteering •enable staff to donate money directly from their salary to any UK registered charity (see PAYE giving below) Would you be willing to explore if your employer could support our project?

Payroll Giving
(Give As You Earn)

Can you support us through regular giving? Anyone paid by PAYE can increase the value of their donation at no extra cost to themselves. This is a UK tax-efficient scheme allowing employees or pensioners to donate to charities directly from their gross salary or pension (before income tax) via PAYE. Payroll Giving provides tax relief at source for individuals who give to charity by direct deduction from their pay. Pensioners can also use Payroll Giving to give to charity by direct deduction from their occupational pension How it Works: Donations are deducted from salary after National Insurance but before Income Tax, meaning tax is paid on a lower amount. Tax Relief: A £10 donation costs a basic rate (20%) taxpayer £8, and a higher rate (40%) taxpayer £6. Flexibility: There is no minimum or maximum amount, and you can stop, change, or start donations at any time. You can sign up to this scheme with your employer.

Monthly
Direct Debit

The best way to give is through Parish Giving as 100% of your donation and Gift Aid comes straight to the church with no fees charged. You can also give by Bank Transfer or standing order. If you wish to use this option please also email treasurercpc@btinternet.com confirming your name and the amount you wish to give so your donation can be identified for the correct fund

One-off
Gifts

You can give a one-off gift of up to £1000 by using our GiveaLittle page. If you wish to use this option click the GiveaLittle link to the left but please also email treasurercpc@btinternet.com confirming your name and the amount you wish to give so your donation can be identified for the correct fund.

Gifts in Wills /
Bequests

Leaving a proportion of your estate is a valuable gift for the future of seeing lives transformed by Jesus, for which we are hugely grateful. Donating in your Will can also lead to tax relief. When you leave gifts to charity in your Will your donation will be taken off the value of your estate before Inheritance Tax is calculated. If 10% or more of your estate is left to charity, your Inheritance Tax rate may also be reduced.
